TOURS IN CIENFUEGOS, SANTA CLARA, TRINIDAD AND HAVANA.

TOUR BY THE CITY OF CIENFUEGOS


We go from Paseo del Prado until we reach Boulevard of San Fernando, which leads to José Martí Park, where we will see the Teatro Tomas Terry, La Parroquia Principal, El Palatino and El Arco de Triunfo (unique in Cuba).

From there we go on to the Muelle Real and then into Malecón which will lead us to Punta Gorda where we will visit other emblematic buildings of the city such as, The Blue Palace, The Club Cienfuegos, The Palace of Valle and we will finish in La Punta.


Cienfuegos is a beautiful city on the southern coast of Cuba, it is recognized as the Pearl of the South.

It seduces travelers from all over the world thanks to the mix of elegance of its cultivated French spirit and its affable Caribbean style, has a beautiful natural bay. Therefore Benny More sang: "Cienfuegos is the city that I like the most".


TOUR BY THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA


Santa Clara is better known in Latin America as the City of "Che Guevara". Its streets are filled with history and anecdotes of the Cuban Revolution. It was founded in 1689 and boasts an immense cultural treasure.

Its strategic position played an important role during the invasion from East to West, particularly in December 1958 when Che Guevara and his guerrillas besieged and seized the city, giving rise to the capitulation of dictator Fulgencio Batista. Today it plays an important role from the commercial point of view, and its University is one of the largest in Cuba. We will also visit the mausoleum-museum dedicated to the extraordinary life of Che, the monument of the Armored Train, Park Leoncio Vidal and the Boulevard.


The City of Santa Clara is in the center of the Island and its main tourist attraction is the monument to Che Guevara.


TOUR BY THE CITY OF HAVANA IN "CAR"


With a fascinating history reflected in its streets and buildings of more than 500 years, the Cuban capital has much to offer its visitors. It is considered one of the most important cities worldwide not only for its typical political-economic model but also for its inhabitants with a peculiar human warmth that motivates visitors to return once more to this amazing city.

Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and "Ciudad Maravilla", Havana is known for its cobbled streets, colonial buildings, baroque churches and old American cars. During this fascinating tour we will also visit New or Modern Havana and its most attractive buildings such as the famous "Plaza de la Revolucion" and the majestic monument to the national hero of Cuba, Jose Marti. In those two days you will have the possibility to visit some of our most famous Cabarets such as, Tropicana or the Parisien, and thus to enjoy the nightlife of havana.

TOUR BY THE CITY OF TRINIDAD


Trinidad is one of the most revealing Cuban colonial villas and still remains trapped in time. The City Museum of the Caribbean, as it is also known, was declared a UNESCO Heritage Site many years ago. Its cobbled streets, colonial facades, wooden and tile roofs and its friendly population offer an imaginary journey through the lifestyle of the powerful “hacendados” of the time in which the sugar trade was the main industry of this region and the slaves the main workforce.

EXCURSION TO NATURAL PARK "EL NICHO".


El Nicho is located inside the Great Mountainous Natural Park "Topes de Collantes", a tropical forest that extends along the "ESCAMBRAY" mountain massif. This is an excellent place to totally relax and is only an hour and thirty minutes drive from Cienfuegos.

Its cascades are very attractive and maintain a good volume of water throughout most of the year, its natural crystalline water pools allow you to swim and cool after the climb to it in hot days. The highest point of the route is the "Hanabanilla" viewpoint while ascending to it you can observe typical birds and lizards in the trees.

EXCURSION TO GUANAROCA LAGOONE.


Located southeast of Cienfuegos Bay this lagoon was formed by Arimao river before flowing into the bay. It is the only protected area of the province which includes also Labyrinth Naturals, Key Ocampo and other minor keys.

Guanaroca name is linked to a beautiful aboriginal legend, it’s 3000 hectares are populated by mangroves which are the inhabited of 170 varieties of exotic and endemic birds such as the “Cartacuba”, ‘Tomeguín del Pinar”, la “Corúa”, “Pelicans”, y el “Tocororo”, which is our national bird. A colony of more than two hundred pink flamingos and many important aboriginal archaeological sites add a magic charm to this place. The lagoon is also considered the largest natural shrimp farm in Cienfuegos.



EXCURSION BY BOAT TO THE JAGUA MILITARY FORTRESS.


This great excursion will allow you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Cienfuegos’s Bay and to visit the only preserved and remained military fortress from the XVIII century in the centre of the island.

The local ferry departs from “El Muelle Real” and makes its first stop in “Carena Key”, the only inhabited island inside the bay, second stop in “Pasacaballos” and finally ‘El Castillo ‘ which is the small fishermen village that settled in the surroundings of the fortress. After visiting the fortress, we can go for a short swimming time in one of the cenotes located in the camping area by the west coast side of the bay entrance. Don’t miss this great opportunity to mix with locals, enjoy the magnificent views from the top of the fortress and a delicious seafood lunch in one of the small “Paladar” of the fishermen village.
